Isaac East
Isaac East is made up of the relaxed coastal communities of Carmila, Clairview, Flaggy Rock, Greenhill, Ilbilbie and St Lawrence, the inland community of Clarke Creek and the unique mining communities of Dysart and Middlemount. St Lawrence boasts being one of Queensland's oldest coastal towns while further inland, Dysart and Middlemount are considered two of Queensland's youngest towns. Both were purpose built in the 1970s to support employees of the mining industry.
The coastal communities offer a range of sights and experiences. The pristine beaches, protected wetlands and mountain ranges offer the visitor ample opportunity to interact with nature. The towns of Dysart and Middlemount provide a glimpse of mining town life as well as the day-to-day operations of a range of coal mines.
